The Entanglement Prevention System For Breathing Apparatus prevents the entanglement of equipment with exposed building elements. The flexible straps and loops help deflect the wires and/or prevent wires from being caught between the bottle and the backplate. This eliminates or greatly reduces the time for extrication with the reduction of points where wires and other elements can be caught. The SCBA wire entanglement preventer does not interfere with current methods of changing SCBA bottles or other safety devices. It prevents entanglement by attaching to the backplate and to the shoulder straps of the SCBA. This prevents wires from sliding between the backplate and the SCBA bottle.
